    Northern Lights Enterprises, Inc., a Zippo Company, and leading designer of luxury candles and artisan made accessories, is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time hourly opportunity as a Show Room Coordinator – responsible for assisting in the development, operational and administrative functions relating to the product development process.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Showroom Coordination: (For the coming year, this portion of the position will report to Amy Bennett, COO. In future, this position will report to the Director of Product Development.)

    · Manage the details of each showroom to execute before the show opens

    · Work with Sales to plan showroom dates and product ship dates

    · Work with Sales to coordinate all materials needed for salespeople: i.e. printer supplies, pens, paper, and hospitality supplies like coffee, wine, cups etc.

    · Maintain and update all showroom documents like leases, fire extinguisher policies etc.

    · Create Planograms for all showrooms including any props, displays needed

    · Create Product Pull lists per showroom for shipping and Production, coordinate with all depts.

    · Physically set up Showroom /Spaces builds

    · Other duties as assigned

    · Future:

    o Design showroom layouts

    o Design furniture communicate with Maintenance and track all showroom builds.

     

    Project Management: (Report to Director of Product Development)

    · Create project strategies for each project as assigned

    · Communicate project and event updates with internal departments as needed

    · Push forward assigned tasks, projects, and events

    · Other duties as assigned

     

    Design: (Report to Director of Product Development)

    · Assist in the design and development of candle products

    · Understand and continually research the home décor and candle market trends

    · Use Northern Lights brand knowledge to position products and mechanizing appropriately

    · Diagram merchandising/marketing planograms to scale

    · Pantone selection

    · Design within project limitations i.e. price, size, wax content, season, trend, etc.

    · Attend Trade shows and Fairs as needed

    · Assist in point of purchase design and development

    · Collaborate with 2D and 3D Coordinators on mass market programming

    · Collaborate with other departments to develop merchandizing aids

    · Other duties as assigned

     

    Development: (Report to Director of Product Development)

    · Research and evaluate manufacturers and materials

    · Correspond with vendors regarding projects, samples and quality information

    · Review and communicate all sample quality with Purchasing and QC to establish requirements as needed

    · Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

    · Office experience required

    · Excellent computer skills using email, OneDrive, Google sheets, basic Excel, Word, PowerPoint, project management software

    · Photoshop and Illustrator skills required

    · Must have high color sensitivity

    · Use of Skype/FaceTime/other media communications programs required

    · Intermediate Photography skills

    · Must be creative, detail oriented and highly organized

    · Must be flexible to switch tasks quickly, change requirements, or rush tasks if needed

    · Professional, career oriented and self-motivated

    · Ability to work independently within rigid time constraints within a team environment

    · Must be a creative problem solver within a group offering on the spot insight and solutions if needed

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills especially with people of different cultures, religions and levels of English speaking

    · Basic understanding of materials like glass, ceramic, wood, metals, paper

    · Project Management skills required

    · Must be able to lift 50lbs

    · Must be able to travel
