Responsible for all computer and system operations including hardware, software and programming. Installation, maintenance, upgrades, system analysis, cost analysis, trouble shooting, documentation, training and technical / software and programming support. Emphasis is placed on understanding and managing company systems as a whole through analysis and trouble shooting. Promotes a positive and professional corporate image for the continued growth of Northern Lights.
Additional Primary Duties Include:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education / experience
- Installation, maintenance and systematic troubleshooting skills
- Familiar with corporate applications: network, office software, integrated accounting software
- Database experience including: Access, SQL Server, ODBC connections
- Programming Experience with HTML, Java and Visual Basic. Barcode and Coldfusion is a plus
- Corporate applications experience - Windows/Mac operating systems, Office 365, network and office software
- Manufacturing applications - ERP system knowledge and EDI is a plus
- Understanding of networking and all related hardware
- Professional communication skills both written and verbal. Highly organized and detail orientated
- Independent self-starter, yet a team player with the ability to work within time constraints
- Dedicated to task completion and has the ability to do multiple tasks with interruptions
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and must be flexible / available for additional hours as necessary.
Planning Duties Include:
- Assure all hardware systems and software applications remain functional for daily operation
- Support ERP system and other company software, troubleshoot, repair and update as needed
- Oversee company’s websites - update and maintain as necessary
- Design, program and implement new applications as needed
- Maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot network system and Printer/Label Printers as required
- Provide uniform PC platform for current and new users, including planning, installation, troubleshooting and policy enforcement
- Manage, schedule and plan for new systems, support, repair, and legacy replacements
- Keep network, email, phone system and address books up to date for all users
- Manage phone system installation, programming, resource planning, and voice mail system integration
- Oversee maintenance of office equipment and upgrades
- Analyze present operations and propose installation of new resources as needed
- Maintain current inventory on all equipment and software
- Order all materials and supplies needed for the operation of all computers and printers
- Prepare specialty reports as needed - daily, monthly, quarterly and annually
- All other duties as assigned
