    Northern Lights Enterprises, Inc. a ZIPPO Company, is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, hourly, employment opportunity as an HR Administrative Assistant- responsible for providing support to all aspects of Human Resource activities throughout the Company such as: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

     

    Primary Duties Include:

    • Provides administrative support to HR management in administering HR functions
    • Provides administrative support to Benefits Manager in administering benefits to employees
    • Assists with administration of various human resource plans and procedures for all Company personnel including development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures and preparing and maintaining employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
    • Assists with developing department goals, objectives, and systems
    • Provides administrative support for benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees
    • Serves as the onsite lead for the Time and Attendance (T&A) program, including disciplinary documentation
    • Acts as “Agent of Positive Change” and “Morale Champion”
    • Acts as a balancing source of communication between employees and management
    • Assists with planning and organizing effective communication of all Human Resource policies to employees
    • Assists with processing of new hires and terminations
    • Assists with recruitment process by helping source candidates, posting job ads online and in publications, providing Company information and job opportunities to potential candidates, and identifying qualified candidates to submit to hiring managers for placement in open positions
    • Acts as liaison between hiring managers, HR Manager, and candidates
    • Assists with interview process by scheduling interviews when needed
    • Assists with onboarding by scheduling and conducting new hire orientations
    • Prepares and processes employee status forms for new hires and changes
    • Prepares new hire internal postings, promotion postings, and internal job bid winners postings, and tracks all internal transfers
    • Prepares and sends out rejection letters when needed
    • Maintains organization chart
    • Coordinates with employment agencies and recruitment firms for temporary hires
    • Maintains accuracy and confidentiality of personnel files and information
    • Assists with planning and execution of special projects (employee gifts, picnics, dinners, orientations, training programs, general employee mailings, morale boosters, memorials, etc.
    • Performs related duties or special assignments as directed

     

    The Successful Candidate should have:

    • Associate degree in related field or administrative training
    • At least 2 years of administrative experience
    • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of AX and UKG/Kronos HRIS operating systems preferred
