    Northern Lights is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time hourly opportunity as a Customer Service/Sales Representative.

     

    The Customer Service/Sales Representative will sell premium candles and home decorative accessories to high quality gift shops, department stores, mail order catalogs and other wholesale customers.  Focus on exceptional customer service and sourcing new customers.  Work from corporate office in Wellsville, NY.  Travel to trade shows if needed.  Promotes a positive corporate image for continued Company growth. 

    Primary Duties Include:

     

    • Sell candles and home decorative accessories
    • Exceed customer expectations through superior customer service
    • Follow up on all leads, orders and shipments to ensure positive customer relations and encourage repeat orders
    • Build customer base through leads from trade shows, directories and research
    • Establish new customer relationships by telephone and email and maintain positive customer relations
    • Responsible for logging all telephone communications with customers
    • Data entry of sales orders
    • Maintain and strive to exceed sales goal requirements on a consistent basis
    • Coordinate credit terms and payment arrangements
    • Attend trade shows and participate in set up and/or tear down of booths as needed
    • Continually strives to exceed sales dollars and assist in future company growth
    • Always promotes a positive company image in house and while traveling
    • Perform related duties or special assignments as directed

     

    The Successful Candidate Should Have:

    • High school education or GED
    • Wholesale, retail or giftware sales experience preferred
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be highly organized and able to work independently
    • Must be a strong team player
    • Well-rounded computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office)
    • Available for occasional travel to trade shows if needed
