Senior Product Specialist

 

Northern Lights Enterprises, Inc. a ZIPPO Company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time employment opportunity as a Senior Product Specialist- responsible for assisting with the development, operational, and administrative functions relating to the 3D product development process. Facilitates communication between internal departments and external vendors. Coordinates in-person sample requests and maintains sample inventories.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Project Management:

• Communicate project details and updates using project management software
• Outline and communicate new sample requests to vendors
• Report and communicate sample quality standards and processes to vendors
• Communicate vendor updates within internal departments as needed
• Follow project calendars and communicate status updates to ensure deadlines are being met
• Collect and document 3D assigned sections of BOM (Bill of Materials)
• Assist in the fragrance sampling process and ensure the details of each request match the project scope
• Other duties as assigned

Design:

• Assist in the diagraming of original candle products
• Create surface and pattern decoration direction for vessel vendors
• Pull physical pantones for color checks and approvals
• Gather images of relevant product for mood boards and brainstorms 
• Design within project limitations i.e., price, size, wax content, season, trend, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Development:

• Request quotations from vendors and document costs based on project requirements using Google Sheets, Excel, and project management software
• Create proforma costing sheets using raw material costs for new products and offerings
• Confirm and record product dimensions and quality standards for creating Spec Sheets of new and existing products
• Create and communicate new vessel and accessory sample requests to vendors to meet customer needs
• Oversee the unpacking, labeling, and organization of import vessel and accessory samples. Assist as needed.
• Create fragrance requests to send to fragrance companies and track new submissions and maintain the physical organization of fragrance samples
• Create SRFs (Sample Request Forms) to documenting outbound samples
• Oversee the arrangement and fulfillment of samples requests. Assist as needed.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2-3 Years’ Experience
• Competency in Adobe CC Suite
• Experience using email, Google drive sheets, Microsoft Office, project management software and virtual communication platforms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills especially with people of different cultures, religions, and levels of English speaking
• Excellent research skills via internet and phone calls
• High color sensitivity
• Basic olfactory evaluation skills
• Creative, detail oriented, and highly organized-problem solver mindset
• Flexibility to switch tasks quickly or rush tasks if needed
• To be a tenacious question asker who does not wait for information
• Professional, career oriented, and self-motivated attitude
• Ability to work independently and as a group within rigid time constraints
• Ability to attend company functions and events as needed including occasional weekends & travel opportunities
• A reliable mode of transportation
• Ability to lift 35lbs
